organizations as a d.c. police officer used excessive force when he shot and killed a dog. the dog began fighting yesterday during a street festival in adams morgan. the officer tried to separate them and one dog charged that the crowd. the officer is an experienced canine handler and shot the dog only as a last resort. police are reviewing the incident. investigators are searching for the persons who are in the houses of two police officers in calvert county. if the house of a maryland state trooper was shot at friday night and saturday morning someone fired at a st. mary's county deputy's house and vehicles. northbound on the 14th street bridge there's a new traffic pattern that went into effect minutes ago. the left shoulder is closed for the entire lenton of the 14th street bridge.
